Thomas Whitehead was born in West Yorkshire and trained at The Royal Ballet Upper School, joining the Company in 1994 and rising to Principal Character Artist in 2017. He performs character roles including Von Rothbart in Swan Lake, Drosselmeyer in The Nutcracker, Dr. Coppélius, and Widow Simone in La Fille mal gardée.
