Mayara Magri was born in Rio de Janeiro and trained at The Royal Ballet School after winning the Prix de Lausanne and Youth America Grand Prix in 2011. She joined The Royal Ballet in 2012 and was promoted to Principal in 2021, performing leading roles in Don Quixote, La Bayadère, and Manon. She is partner to fellow Royal Ballet Principal Matthew Ball.
