Joseph Sissens was born in Cambridge and trained at Tring Park School and The Royal Ballet School, joining the Company in 2016 and being promoted to Principal in 2024. He has danced leading roles including Romeo, Prince Siegfried, and the Prince in Cinderella, and spearheaded the Legacy gala celebrating artists of colour. He is a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ inclusivity in ballet.
