The Nutcracker

NEBT's Nutcracker is a bold reimagining of Tchaikovsky's beloved classic, choreographed by Valentino Zucchetti, who brings contemporary sensibility to the timeless story of Clara's dreamlike adventure. The production blends classical tradition with imaginative storytelling designed to welcome new audiences to ballet.

At a glittering modern-day Christmas party, Clara is gifted a Nutcracker by an eccentric entertainer. When night falls, the toy leads her into a world of snowy landscapes, mystery and magic — a dream adventure shaped for both first-time ballet-goers and experienced audiences alike.

The production tours to Lichfield Garrick and the Stag Theatre in Sevenoaks across November and December 2026, continuing NEBT's mission to bring high-quality ballet to audiences across the UK while providing its young professional dancers with the experience of a full-length touring production.
