Covent Garden Choreographics 2026
About This Production
Covent Garden Choreographics is NEBT's annual platform for new and revived short works created by choreographers connected to The Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera House, presented at the Clore Studio, Royal Opera House. The 2026 programme brings together five works spanning neoclassical and contemporary ballet, performed by NEBT's apprentice and graduate dancers.
The evening includes Orbital Motion and Into the Light, both by Valentino Zucchetti, alongside Ashley Dean's Embers set to Max Richter, and two works by Jordan James Bridge: What is Left, a meditative piece to J.S. Bach, and Celestial Bodies, set to music by Abul Mogard. Into the Light sets Bach's Four Last Songs in a choreographic framework that draws together the programme's themes of light and movement.
The Covent Garden Choreographics platform has established itself as one of the key development opportunities in British ballet, giving young professional dancers experience performing at one of the country's leading venues while offering emerging choreographers the chance to work at scale.
