Lukas B. Brændsrød was born in Oslo and began as a breakdancer, appearing in the documentary Ballet Boys, before training at the Norwegian National Ballet School and The Royal Ballet Upper School. He joined The Royal Ballet in 2016 and was promoted to First Soloist in 2024, winning the Ninette de Valois Prize as the most outstanding male graduate in 2015.
