Katja Khaniukova was born in Russia and trained at the Vaganova Academy in St Petersburg before joining English National Ballet, where she rose to Principal. She has danced leading roles including Giselle, Odette/Odile, Nikiya in La Bayadère, and roles in productions by Akram Khan and Wayne McGregor.
