Scott MacDonald is the founder and editor of Plié, covering ballet and contemporary dance across the UK and Europe. He writes primarily on the classical repertoire, company programming, and the politics of arts funding. Before launching Plié, he contributed to several arts publications and worked in arts management in London. He holds a particular interest in the relationship between choreography and music, and the way companies adapt classic works for modern audiences.
